Russian chamber vocal music has gone through a long and difficult way of development and by the end of the 19th century it was a very diverse sphere of musical reflection of the social and cultural life of Russia in terms of themes, images, and embodiment means. The concert program is composed of romances and opera arias that are rarely heard at concert halls: works by Anton Arensky, Miliy Balakirev, Alexander Grechaninov, Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov, Cesar Cui, Eduard Napravnik, Anton Rubinstein, and Alexander Serov.
