The fourth season of the Young Opera Singers Assemblies project was concluded with a concert on June 25, featuring the soloists of the Opera Centre and the soloists of the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. This year, the master classes by the leading opera teachers and coaches and the concerts in the project framework were held at Theater an der Wien in Vienna, Academia Concertante in Barcelona, Verdi Academy in Busseto and, of course, at the Opera Centre.
The head of the Opera Studio under the Bavarian State Opera – Henning Ruhe, and Centre’s Professor Badri Maisuradze, carried out the most exciting workshops on June 23 and 24, which were summed up with a gala concert on the Opera Centre’s stage.
The young singers from Munich have brilliantly performed excerpts from operas by Mozart, Rossini, Bizet, Donizetti in the first part of the concert. The second part consisted of scenes from operas by Mozart, Verdi, Rossini, Charpentier, Tchaikovsky, performed by soloists of the Opera Centre.
According to all participants, students and teachers, such an exchange of experience is extremely useful, allowing to learn new techniques and to understand the nuances of a particular operatic school.
