Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre celebrates its first anniversary in 2012/2013 season. Grand opening of the Opera Centre took place on 1st of September 2002, and after only four months the first production received premiere on its stage – Mikhail Glinka’s opera Ruslan and Lyudmila.
For the past 10 years ten opera productions have been staged and numerous concerts have been held both on the Opera Centre stage and on most prestigious concert and theatre venues in different countries, the major festivals in Hungary, Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Macedonia, France, Czech Republic, South Africa.
Following their studies at the Centre, many of its singers have become soloists of Bolshoi Theater, Moscow Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theater, Novaya Opera, Helikon-Opera, Mikhailovsky Theatre, as well as successfully perform at Opera di Roma, the Opera National de Belgique in Brussels, the Opera Royal de Wallonie in Liege and the Stadtstheater in Bonn, as well as at the Salzburger Festspiele and Ravenna Festival.
Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre celebrates its 10th birthday with anniversary performances and concerts, special exhibitions, publications and other art projects.
