Despite the official 2004-2005 season closure, Opera centre continues its creative activity. In July the art festival in Bloemfontein (one of the biggest music forums in the Republic of South Africa) recieved the Opera centre soloists J. Baranova, O. Kornievskaya, N. Letvina, T. Metlina, P. Paremuzov, G. Protsenko, A. Tihomirov and S. Tujik.
The central South African press centre actively reported about such unique event as the tour of Russian soloists, Galina Vishnevskaya students. The 2 concerts had great success, the audience even stood up to applaud, which is very unusual for South Africa. This is not only because of the fact that Russian artistes performed in South Africa for the first time in festival history. The audience was impressed by the brilliant talent and fascination of young singers, the high level of performance, and the well-thought-out program, the most part of the works of which became real discovery for the audience.
The series of summer tours of Opera centre will continue in Ukraine. The last summer week they will take part in the festival named “The chicken God” in the famous Crimean Koktebel.
