On February 24 Paata Burchuladze gave one an only master class for students of the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre in Moscow. Critically acclaimed as one of the world’s five best bass singers, Paata Burchuladze offers an exciting combination of one of a kind vocal mastery, stage presence and inimitable drive that prompted the great Herbert von Karajan to call him “a second Chaliapin”. He has sung on stage of virtually each and every major opera and concert venue around and each his performance is a real celebration. In February 1998, this proud holder of virtually every prestigious international musical award around was elevated to Dukedom for his outstanding contribution to world opera.
Paata Burchuladze was in Moscow for participation in the Bolshoi Theatre’s production of Boris Godunov slated for February 21 and 23.
