On December 13th the State memorial musical Museum-reserve of Piotr Tchaikovsky in Klin in celebration of the 175th anniversary from the birthday of the great composer, the Opera centre presented a resumed production of the opera “Iolanta”, which premiered on the 25th of October, the birthday of Galina Vishnevskaya.

The audience warmly welcomed the soloists and the orchestra of the Centre, who played in Klin not the first time: exactly one year ago here was presented the opera “Eugene Onegin” – and it was the first opera production on the stage since its opening.

Especially for singers and musicians of the orchestra the Museum staff organized a visit to the house of Tchaikovsky, and the participants, inspired by the spirituality and beauty of this amazing place made a very special performance. The main roles were brilliantly performed by Kuzma Rybalkin – king René, Sergey Plusnin – Robert, Petr Sizov – Vaudemont, Marat Mukhametzyanov – Ibn-Hakia. Student of Makvala Kasrashvili Ekaterina Petrova has created an unusually touching image of the blind Princess who enchanted the audience with bright talent and professional skill.

At the end of the performance the audience gave standing ovation to the singers and the orchestra under the conduction by Yaroslav Tkalenko, not wanting to say goodbye to the artists.
