On April 15th one of the world most brilliant opera singers, Grammy winner, Korean soprano Sumi Jo was the guest of the Opera Centre.
Having come to Moocow with the only concert in the ‘Queens of Opera’ Festival framework, she announced her decision to establish special scholarship for the Opera Centre students together with the general sponsor of the concert KIA Quoris in order to support cultural and humanitarian programs.
During her meeting with the Centre’s ensemble, Elena Oparkova, the Director, told about Galina Vishnevskaya, how she had found the Centre, listed its goals and objectives of the creative process. Sumi Jo visited the rehearsal of ‘Eugene Onegin’, met the students and tutors, viewed the exhibition, dedicated to the Centre and ‘Vishnevskaya, vivat!’ exhibition.
“This is a place, where your dreams come true as an artist. Be strong and be happy. I love you so much!” – was written by Sumi Jo in the book of hornored guests.
