September 1st, there is a meeting of creative teamwork took place in Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre. It was dedicated to the beginning of a new school year and the main subject was discussion of creative pans and curriculum for the forthcoming theatre-concert season. 13th young singers from Astrakhan, Moscow, Pertozavodsk, Samara, Ust-Ilimsk and other cities of Russia, who passed the entering contest, will begin their study as 1st year students.
The nearest evens – N. Rimsky-Korsakov “The Tsar’s bride” (October, 8-11), concert in commemoration of 100-anniversary of maestro A.Sh. Melik-Pashaev with whom Galina Vishnevskaya in creative collaboration created her best characters in Bolshoi Theatre (October, 24), master-classes one of the leading professors of illustrious Curtis School (Philadelphia, USA) Mr. Michel Eliasence, will conduct master class (October, 15-22).
Future plans for the coming season – production of P. Tchaikovsky “Iolanta”, revival of “Faust” by Ch. Gounod featuring the new soloists, numerous of chamber concerts. Centre s stage is not the only ground for its performances, as active guest performances have been planned: participation in the Festival “Beaulieu – Sur – Mer” in France (May, 2005), “Prague’s Spring” and in Festival of productions by Ivan Popovsky in Macedonia (May, 2006); gala-concerts in Vladivostok, Ryazan (September, 2005), Toliati (October, 2005), tour in Rome (December, 2005), Paris (February, 2006).
