On September 1, 2003 the meeting of Galina Vishnevskaya with students who are listeners of the Centre took place in Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre. The meeting was held to curriculum and creative plans for a forthcoming season. Premiere of an opera of N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov “The Tsar’s fiancee” staging by Galina Vishnevskaya herself and famous director from Yugoslavia Ivan Popovski, will be presented on October 15,16 in a stage of a Centre. Uryi Baranov and Alexander Kasianov (Gryaznoi), Oksana Kornievskaya (Lubasha), Pavel Peremuzov (Bomeli), Vladimir Baikov (Maluta), Oksana Lesnichnaya and Marina Poplavskaya (Marpha) and other leading soloists of the Opera Centre are engaged in this performance. In the nearest plans of the creative collective group the concert “Dedication to Benjamin Britten” on November 22, devoted 90 anniversary of the composer who was a good friend of Galina Pavlovna and Mstislav Rostropovich.
Also in plans for a forthcoming season – new premieres of operas of S.Guno “Faust” and Verdi “Rigoletto”, and also chamber concerts with participation of Vishnevskaya’s students and grant-holders of Fund of Rostropovich.
