The Centre’s soloists are to perform at the Kaufman Music Center of performing arts in New York

24 November 2013

The Young Opera Singers Assemblies, carried out by the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre together with opera academies and young singers programs in different countries for three seasons already, will be continued in the USA now. The Centre’s soloists are to perform at the Kaufman Music Center of performing arts in New York on November 24.

Kaufman Center, established in year 1952 as an arts school, nowadays is a large learning and concert center, uniting Lucy Moses School, special music school and a concert hall. Centre’s soloists: Ekaterina Mironycheva and Alexander Aliev will take part in master classes together with the young american vocalists and finally perform at Ann Goodman Recital Hall. Rostropovich Foundation scholarship holders will also take part in the concert.

According to Olga Rostropovich, the Opera Centre’s Artistic director, Young Opera Singers Assemblies allow a new generation of opera singers to adopt the experience of other vocal schools and to reach a world class level of their performing art: “This idea is of an incredible use for both: our guys, and for foreign singers. They share their experiences, see what they can strive for, see other techniques, a different interpretation and style.”

The New York stage of “Assemblies” this season was preceded by master classes and concerts of the Centre’s soloists in Spain (Santiago de Compostela), London and Vienna. Ahead – a collaboration with the youth program of the Opera Bastille in Paris on December 12-13.
