On September 24th a festive season opening took place on stage of the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre. It is the 19th theatrical season of the opera school. The audience was presented with «Our Tchaikovsky» gala concert program, dedicated to the 180 birthday anniversary of the composer. Students and alumni of the Opera Centre who now perform on the stages of the best known musical theatres of the city: soloist of the Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre Maria Pakhar, soloists of the Novaya Opera Theatre Maria Buinosova and Mikhail Novikov took part in the opening night. Vocalists were accompanied by Valery Gerasimov and Georgy Migunov, both performing solo as well. Love songs, arias and duets from Tchaikovsky’s operas were performed. In the foyer of the Opera Centre the book by Galina Pokrovskaya «Our Tchaikovsky» was presented. The book includes memoires, reflections, interviews on Tchaikovsky by musicians, tutors and students of the Opera Centre.
