The Opera Centre tour to Tomsk and Seversk in the ‘New Wanderers’ project framework

On November 23-24 in the science and art forum “Art and Intelligence” and the All-Russian project “New Wanderers” framework Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre presented Tchaikovsky’s opera Eugene Onegin on the stage of the Tomsk Region State Philharmonic and the science town of Seversk.

“New Wanderers” – a unique program that continues the age-old tradition of artistic enlightenment in Russia. Its main goal is to spread the cultural values ​​in the Russian ‘outback’ (‘glubinka’), and currently the “New Wanderers” have covered more than 90 towns and cities from Kaliningrad to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, among them – closed scientific cities of RosAtom.

Ekaterina Mironycheva, Tatyana Nikityuk, Sergei Atyushev, Stanislav Mostovoy, Ruslan Rozyev have performed with great success in Eugene Onegin. Conductor – Yaroslav Tkalenko. After the performance the audience held the artists on stage with appreciative standing ovation.

During the seven years of cooperation with the “New Wanderers”, Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre has toured in Penza and Sverdlovsk regions, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Angarsk, Surgut, and many other Russian cities, and ‘Science Cities’.
