From 19 to 23 October the soloist of the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre, a student of national artist of the USSR Professor Makvala Kasrashvili Nestan Mebonia will be trained at the Academy of La Scala theatre in Milan.
This is not the first experience of cooperation of the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre and the Academy of La Scala: in March 2011 the Academy’s soloists performed on Ostozhenka and in a few days the soloists of the Centre made a “return” visit, performing in the famous hall-foyer Arturo Toscanini in Milan theater.
Academy of Teatro alla Scala (Accademia del Teatro alla Scala) wasfounded 1997on the initiative ofRiccardo Muti, continuing the tradition ofthe “school of the La Scala students”, createdin the early 1950s by the legendaryArturo Toscanini. Nowon four coursesof the Academy (music, dance, management, “stage andworkshops”) under the supervision ofthe best expertstrainedsingers, dancers, artists of the choirand orchestra, conductors, set designers, lighting designers, sound engineers, videographersandmanagers.
During the training, whichis organized with the supportof the Italian Embassy inthe Russian Federation, NestanMeboniawill attendindividual master classes of one of the greatestmezzo-soprano of our times, Lucianad’Intino and participateinmaster classeswith soloists of the Bolshoiand Mikhailovsky theatres.
