On the 23rd of November, soloists of the Opera Centre performed in memorial Museum-reserve of Alexander Pushkin “Boldino”. The concert was held in the framework of the XXIX all-Russian Pushkin festival of Opera and ballet art, which for nearly 30 years is organized by the Ministry of culture of Nizhny Novgorod region and Nizhny Novgorod state academic theatre of Opera and ballet named after Alexander Pushkin with the support of Ministry of culture of Russian Federation.
In her greeting Artistic Director of the Opera Center Olga Rostropovich wished to the festival “a long and beautiful history, because there is no name more important for any Russian than the name of Alexander Pushkin and Boldino autumn is synonymous with the flourishing of art, a specific state of a poetic soul for a very long time”.
The concert was attended by the graduates of the class of Badri Maisuradze: Evgenya Wuckert, Andrey Dudin and Vladislav Popov, submitted together with the pianist Anna Sitnikova a bright program, which included the arias from the following operas “Queen of Spades”, “The Enchantress”, “Eugene Onegin”, “Iolanta”, “Ruslan and Ludmilla” and Tchaikovsky’s romances. A real gift to the audience and the festival was the performance of the honoured artist of Russia and the soloist of the Bolshoi theatre Badri Maisuradze, who performed the arioso of Hermann from the Opera “Queen of Spades”.
The concert was also attended by the students and graduates of the Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory named after Michael Glinka.
