On 22 October the soloists of the Opera Centre took part in a concert performance of Bizet’s “Carmen” at the XIII International festival “Harmonia Moraviae” in the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic in Zlin. One of the biggest music centers in the country known far beyond the Czech Republic. Philharmonic in Zlin successfully operate his own orchestra and choir, which participated in the performance of the Opera. Carmen was performed brilliantly by the student of the Center graduated in 2005 Agunda Kulaeva, nowadays – the soloist of the Bolshoi theatre, she still takes an active part in the creative life of the Center. Also bright were performances of Alexander Aliev in the role of Escamillo and Vladislav Popov in the role of Zuniga.
Soloists of the Centre participated in the festival “Harmonia Moraviae” at the invitation of the head of the Philharmonic orchestra of Bohuslav Martinu Walter Attanasi. In may of this year in the framework of the project “Youth Opera Assembly” Maestro gave a series of master classes in Opera Center and also conducted the Opera “Carmen” and a concert of soloists of the Centre. The level of training of young singers rated V. attanasi as very high, which prompted the conductor to invite some of them to participate in “Carmen”. According to the Maestro, the cooperation will continue in the future.
