June 28, the third graduation took part in Opera Centre, however, in spite of the season’s closing creative life went on. July 8th and 10th, Centre soloists took part in one of the biggest Russian musical forums – Sakharov International Art Festival in Nizhny Novgorod, to put it more precisely – in the final part of the Festival “Nizhny Novgorod – 100 anniversary of Dmitry Shostakovich”. Programs of the concerts devoted to the great composers included vocal cycles “From Jewish folk poetry”, “Satira” based on Sasha Cherny verses and “Sonets”.
July 29, apprentices of Galina Vishnevskaya performed in Musical Festival in Tarusa, which had been carried out by Svyatoslav Richter Foundation already 14 times. Until the opening of the new season on September 26, Opera Centre has tours in Novy Urengoi, Tbilisi and Baku, where concert will be held in the frame of Festival “Year of Russian Culture in Azerbaijan”.
