Anatoly Loshak

Teacher of Voice

In 1979 he graduated from the Vocal Department of the Moscow State Conservatory (under Professor Alexander Baturin’s guidance). In 1986 he trained at La Scala (Milan) under Carlo Bergonzi’s supervision.

At the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theater, Anatoly has assumed the following positions: since year 1978 – an intern, since 1980 – a soloist, then – one of the troupe leading soloists.

Among the parts he had performed are: Onegin (Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin), Robert and Ibn-Hakija (Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta), Eletskii (Tchaikovsky’s Queen of Spades), His Highness (Tchaikovsky’s Cherevichki), Leandro (Prokofiev’s The Love for Three Oranges), Listrat (Khrennikov, Into the Storm), Ostap Bender (Khrennikov, The Golden Calf), Valentine (Gounod’s Faust), Marseille (Puccini’s La Boheme), Enrico (Donizetti’s Il campanello di notte) and others.

Anatoly Loshak has participated in productions of Boris Godunov by Mussorgsky in Bologna (Italy), Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky in Palermo (Sicily) and in the Wroclaw Opera House (Poland), Le Corsaire by Verdi in Parma (Italy), Macbeth by Verdi and Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni in Dublin (Ireland), in performances of Wexford Festival (Ireland): Cherevichki by Tchaikovsky, Demon by Rubinstein, Šárka by Fibich, May Night by Rimsky-Korsakov, Flame by Respighi, Fosca by Gomez.

He has toured in Italy, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Poland, Yugoslavia, Brazil.

Currently Anatoly Loshak is involved in the productions of War and Peace by Prokofiev (as Napoleon), Madame Butterfly by Puccini (Sharpless), May Night, or the Drowned Maiden by Rimsky-Korsakov (Kalenik), Queen of Spades by Tchaikovsky (Eletskii), The Force of Destiny by Verdi (Fra Melitone).
